Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to give you a quick update. Thank you for praying for us - God is so good. Our time here has been so sweet and the boys are doing very well.
In the early morning hours of Saturday when up for a feeding with Titus - I fully realized my love for these boys. It is incredible how Noel and I feel about them after such a short time. I remember feeling the same for lily after a few short hours in China. I also have had the incredible opportunity to watch my husband as a father with sons - it has been so sweet. Noel and Silas are attached at the hip. Silas has really opened up - laughing and playing on the floor and is loving the attention he gets when he walks with help. We figured him out - his little legs have poor muscle tone and it is hard for him to walk, but he can with help. We have found out that he is at an orphanage with mostly older kids. I think they must get everything for him and carry him around all day. I also know it is easier for the caregivers if the toddlers are not walking so they probably do not provide much stimulation. We have been working with him a lot and he loves to perform for lots of clapping and YEAH Silas cheers:) He is good at showing us everything he wants with his eyes. He has not talked very much - but I think that is partly because he doesn't understand us. When I say short phrases to him in French he seems to understand. He was mouthing mama just now before his nap...too cute. He is a little lover just like his brother. He is loving to play with Noel rolling the ball back and forth, playing with his stacking cups and shape sorter. He is so much fun - hasn't cried once at all - and has slept at least 10 hours without waking both nights. He is a great eater - in fact doesn't stop eating until I quit putting food in front of him. It seems like most of the kids are doing that.
Titus is so precious....he is attached to my hip:) He sleeps on my lap everytime we are at meals. He smiles and coos as soon as he sees me or hears my voice. It is precious. He is still doing well - all the things I wrote about before. We saw the Dr yesterday who is a wonderful Haitian lady. He only weighed 8.8 lbs - down from close to 10 lbs in late May, but she thinks he is OK. I will talk to the orphanage director about both of the boys getting optimal care - activity and food. The Dr said she thinks Titus will catch up and we will keep praying for him to come home soon. She has redone all his lab tests - he is healthy - just failure to thrive. I keep whispering to him that once I go home he has to fight hard to be healthy and I will come back for him. He just smiles at me:) We are going to visit his orphanage this evening so I will get to bring gifts to the nannies and show them how important the boys are to us - people say they seem to care for them a little better once they see who their families are. Titus is also eating like crazy - a bottle every couple hours, cereal, and we tried some baby food last night. We are so blessed. God's grace is abundant and we are so thankful. I will update again at least once before we come home. Thanks for your continued prayers - especially for our parting - I already can't even write about it without crying:(
We are trusting God though - and know He will take care of them until we bring them home.
What a gift!!!
XOXOXO to lily and everyone:)
Thanks for the sweet notes
All our love,

Sam & I are constantly thinking of you & praying for you. We check this often. We can't wait to play with the boys. Tell them we will have them biking & catching bugs out here(Rachel's new favorite thing) before you know it!
I can picture you whispering to Titus about staying healthy. The Lord is already working for him to take the cereal. Yea! Silas sounds like a fun boy! We pray his legs continue to grow stronger. We love and miss you, Julie & Sam
I have been following your blog but wanted you to know that I have been praying for you guys. Thanks for letting me join in on your journey! How exciting! Kelly
