I finally made it home around midnight last night. Today has been fun hanging out with Lily - we took Daddy lunch and now we are going to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. I am so thankful for everyone that helped Noel and I while I was gone - childcare, trips to the airport, meals for Noel and lily, phone calls to make sure everyone was doing OK, etc. We have super friends and family - we are so blessed.
I am also especially thankful because I did get to go to the Orphanage yesterday morning to drop Silas off and see Titus' nannies. It was good to go - there was a different baby in Titus' crib - sleeping. The nannies recognized me as "Junior's" mom and said they were sorry. The baby room had been expanded and had a lot of new cribs so that was good to see. Silas made it easy on me again - he had a lollipop someone gave him and thought it was funny to take turns with me having some of it. He was laughing and smiling when I said good bye. He didn't cry - just rolls with the punches, much like Lily's personality. I am thankful he feels comfortable at the Orphanage - he seems to love having all the people around - and entertains everyone. I miss him very much. I surely felt the prayers of everyone yesterday as I had a lot of peace saying goodbye. My flight out of Haiti was delayed, but I finally made it to Miami and got to spend an hour or so with our friends Sean and Heather who adopted Emma at the same time we adopted Lily. It was great to see their family. Noel and I had to watch most of the video and look at all the pictures until 1am last night. We look forward to the day we watch Silas grow and thrive at home. Hope you enjoy the new pictures of our cutie. I hope to post some news about progress of our file soon....keeping my fingers crossed. Right now I imagine we have around 6 more months of waiting. He is worth it :)
Love you all
