I'm with SILAS!!!

We arrived in Haiti this morning. All my luggage made it too so I was happy and ready to see my boy. All the children came to the hotel shortly after we arrived. Silas was sitting on a bench when I came down from my room. I greeted him and could tell he recognized me....not the enthusiastic kind of recognition, but definitely a look like he new who I was. He warmed up quickly - he had lots to drink and then started playing with me. His hair has grown and he looks a little older. His legs seem stronger although I do not think he can walk without assistance yet. He ate like an adult at dinner - lots of chicken and some rice and beans. We have been playing in the room for the last hour. He has talked more tonight then he did in our entire trip in July. He is even repeating some English words - like ball. :) He is all boy. We have been looking at pictures and he points to Noel when I say papa. Too cute. He is sitting on my lap trying to type right now. He seems to think it is very funny to do something I say "no" to. I love him and I am so happy to be with him.
There is a new mom on this trip with 2 babies the same size and age as Titus. It is hard to see them and not miss Titus terribly. I feel like God is carrying me and I am focusing on my many blessings. I have so much to be thankful for. Hi to everyone. Miss you Noel and Lily:) Lily I cannot wait for you to meet your baby brother. We are going to have Silas' birthday party tomorrow. I know he will love the way you wrapped his presents. Noel - I wish you were here.
Love you all.
I will write more soon.

Lori, Hello. It's Phyllis, Zak's mom from soccer. I came across your blog in a prayer request from a friend of a friend. (Small World) I've enjoyed reading your blog and delighted for you and Silas having this time together. A time of rejoicing for blessings and a time of healing for your loss. You and your family have been in our prayers. Blessings to you and a safe journey.
