Hope you had a great 3 day weekend!

Hi!

Don't you wish every weekend lasted 3 days??? Or maybe one weekend a month...:)
We worked in the yard all day Saturday and Noel did most of yesterday too. We have transplanted, done some new planting - flowers and tomato garden, mulched, mowed, trimmed...etc. the last few weekends. So fun to enjoy after it is done! One of Noel and my favorite things to do together is landscaping. It is so fun that he loves it as much as I do - maybe even more...I definitely got the love of it from my sweet Mom. WOW - on June 9 she will have been in Heaven for 7 years! I remember the few days after she died thinking - one day it will have been a year since I heard her voice, then 5 years, then 10. Her picture is in front of me as I type this. Side by side pictures of she and Dad on their wedding day and her high school graduation picture from 1968. She was so beautiful...more on the inside than the outside even. I miss her. One of the things we planted recently was a "Titus Tree." We wanted to plant a tree last fall in memory of Titus and just didn't know where or what kind we wanted. We chose a bloodgood Japanese Maple. It shows its great color first thing in the Spring. Noel built up a little area around it so it can provide a canopy for some annuals. It will eventually provide some shade for our front window. It reminds me of Titus because of the great impact he had in our lives - making them profoundly more colorful and richer for knowing him. It also reminds me of the GREAT love our heavenly Father has shown us throughout our adoption...always a canopy for us - a shelter, covering.
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my Rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my Rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:1-2

Wow - this ended up a much more emotional post than I had planned...often happens when I start writing:)
On a good note - we found out last week that Louis' file has entered IBESR - the Haitian Social Services office. It is great knowing that both boys files are in the system. Please pray with us for a safe homecoming of both boys. It has been so long - but I really thank God for our journey. I know He has good plans for us and for the boys...I trust Him with their lives and I will cherish every moment He gives me as their Mom.
Lily graduates from preschool this Friday! We went swimming for the first time yesterday. We are constantly amazed by her:) I think she knows this. She is growing up so fast - very helpful around the house and enjoying more and more time outside.
Hope each of you reading has a blessed day.
We are thankful for all the support.

Lori,
I haven't visited your blog for a while...I don't know why...it is always so uplifting. It is good to catch up on your life. I think of you often.
Please pray for us, we are still stuck in the IBESR abyss...since last June :(
Are you going on any thrips this summer? We are going on the July 6-12 trip.
Praying that your stay in MOI will be a short one!
Love, Sally
