Hello friends
Thanks for praying for Silas and thinking of us too.
I haven't heard an update on him yet - but should soon. I believe someone from the Orphanage will take him back to see the Dr this week.
Also this Wed - a group of volunteers goes down to the O. I am excited that Silas and Louis will get a lot of extra attention for the next week. We also got to send them little care packages so they will get those this week too.
I am in a better place after praying a lot for Silas. I am still very concerned about him - and would do anything to be taking care of him myself, but I have a little different perspective now. When I have visited Silas in Haiti I have noticed he has a little bit of wheezing every now and then - probably has a little asthma. AND - who wouldn't have pneumonia frequently in Haiti. The pollution in the city is very bad - heavy fumes of coal and trash burning and diesel fuel everywhere. They have no windows at the O so they are constantly exposed to the elements. ADD in the fact that he is around 150 or more kids everyday. Can you imagine how any of them would ever be completely well? Anyway - I am just thankful he got to the Dr and pray he is already over the pneumonia. I will keep you updated.
Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers,
lori

Lori,
Still praying for your sweet boy. I can still see him sleeping in his crib from my last trip. I just can't wait to see pictures of him happy and healthy at home. God will finish what He started. He loves Silas so much. Hugs and prayers for you Lori. This ache is tough everyday, but so much tougher when they are sick. Our kiddos will be home soon.
I love ya gal!
Elicia
