I just read this line on a blog by John McHoul - a missionary to Haiti. He was speaking of a time of waiting in the Port au Prince airport this week. He went to pick someone up and it was the wrong day...but waited for hours.
I want to wait well.
I want to bring glory to God as we wait.
Lately when people ask me how much longer or what is going on - I start responding with the biggest sigh you have ever heard. Then that is usually followed by that person also getting frustrated with me - saying "I just don't understand why it takes so long..."
I don't either - but this I do know - GOD DOES NOT WASTE OUR WAITING! He has great things for us in our waiting rooms - IF - we will look for them.
SO - today I am choosing to wait well. I am looking and I will find good things in this waiting room. I certainly don't want to miss what God is showing me.
John McHoul's mission to Haiti is called Heartline Ministry and can be found at www.heartlineministries.org - they have an orphanage and a Women's program that is really growing. It is exciting to read about what people are doing in Haiti.
Happy 4th of July to all.

This post made me cry. I want to wait well with you, and you are right, it is a choice. God has something planned for this time for us. I know and I see Him making changes in my heart and mind while we painfully wait for Myna. I love you gal and feel so blessed to know you. Stevenson is home.......and now I am praying that Silas is very close behind him.

We just met John at the airport in Haiti yesterday!!! :) We hooked up with the Livesay family for a bit- and they introduced us to him!
