A little closer

I still feel like someone needs to pinch me to make sure I really heard correctly....that Silas will be able to come home in a few short weeks. We haven't heard anything else yet, but I am "nesting" and we are so excited at our house. Lily is especially sweet. She keeps telling me about all the things she is going to teach Silas. Tonight she said she will help with his bath at night.
Lily gets to bring something to share with her class tomorrow. She picked a little hand painted box I brought home from Haiti last October. She wanted to practice what she would tell her friends. She said "this is my special box from Haiti - where my brothers are...I am going there to see them soon because my little brother is ready to come home." She paused and then talked about the colors and other special features of her box. Then she said "now it is time for 1 question and 2 compliments." She called on me for a compliment - "Lori - would you like to tell Lily something about her special box?" Of course I did:) She is learning so much at school - apparently part of that is how to listen to others and then ask questions and pay compliments. TOO cute.
Well it is getting late and I am rambling. Hope to post about having a passport for Silas soon.
Love to all,
lori
