Our response and the death certificate was emailed this morning to Mr. Bannis at the USCIS in Haiti.
What I don't know is when he will read it....
This week is Carnivale in Haiti - Mardi Gras. I don't believe that the Embassy and USCIS office is closed, but from what I have heard, the festivities make it very difficult to get anywhere in Haiti. One person told me she got stuck in traffic during Carnivale parade "practice" last year and it took them 4 hours to travel 2 miles!
With that said - there is a possibility that Mr. Bannis isn't at work this week or part of the week. Only God knows the details...thank you for praying as you feel led this week.
Joyfully,
lori
