Catching up with pictures! I can't believe it has been so long! I am sorry, friends, that have so faithfully prayed for our transition time and may have checked to see how we are doing - only to see the same post for nearly 2 months.
We had a super summer...filled with lots of swimming, family time, and 2 trips to the Lake! One trip was spent with the entire Johnson family - you will notice 10 cousins in the pictures - if we got them all in there. The number should be 12 by Christmas - as Lisa and Scott welcome their 4th child and prayerfully Louis will be home. We haven't heard much about progress in Haiti, unfortunately.
Silas and Lily are doing great! It has been 5 months that Silas has been home...and he is SO MUCH FUN! Noel says he smiles even when he sleeps:)
He knows so much - speaks in English for everything with the exception of when he says "I'll ferme (close)the door, Mom." I have to work to find something that he does not know the name of in English. He is a sponge - soaking it all in and so SMART! Of course, Lily is still teaching him every chance she gets.
Lily started 1st grade last week and is loving it! Silas started a Montessori preschool program a few mornings a week and is enjoying his new friends and teachers.
I have been busy busy organizing the 1st Annual Titus Task 5k and 1mile Family Fun Run/Walk. It will be held October 10, 2009 in our historic downtown Siloam Springs. The Titus Task is our non profit fund with the goal of Pursuing a Future for Orphans. You can read all about it at www.thetitustask.com - just up today! Take a peek at our new logo and website! It is pure joy to see Titus' name and remember him in this way. I can't wait to see what God will do!
I will not let so much time go by before my next post....in fact - will post more pictures now:)
Love to all,
lori
