We hope our son is home by Christmas...

We just received these new pictures of Louis. He turned 12 in November! We are all READY for him to be home and think it would be just PERFECT if we could take a short trip to Haiti to bring him home before CHRISTmas! That way the kids would all be together over Christmas break and our extended family and friends would all have the opportunity to meet him, etc... That is our plan...we'll have to see if it is God's.

What is the delay - you ask???

Well - we found out that Louis' passport was completed on October 8th. Around the 20th it was reported that the passport had an error and had to be redone. Around the first of November we were informed that the new passport was completed and everything would be delivered to the USCIS. We waited to hear that was done - but instead we heard around the 15th of November that when the orphanage rep went to make copies of our documents to take to the USCIS - a document was lost....hmmmm....gee, I hope it wasn't the one with our ss numbers and all other identifying information on it. Last Tuesday - they said that the document that was lost was replaced and our file would be delivered Friday or first thing this week to the USCIS. No word yet whether that happened....

AND time goes by.....tick tock. I guess it is not a big deal to some if Louis gets to spend Christmas with his family. It is a big deal to God - He does care and is more than able to move mountains to get Louis home. One thing I know is that God's plan includes many things that I do not see or understand, so I trust Him.

On a positive note - I did get an email from the USCIS that said they would do their best to get their job done in a timely manner - they need our file to do that....
