Lily
and Silas

Got Milk???
Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!
We are excited to be with family tomorrow. Right now, I am just relaxing a bit - both kids in bed and sleeping. :) 8pm
Thought I would update on how our little fam is doing!
Last weekend we got to meet the amazing couple that until then were our anonymous donors to fund our adoption of Silas. It was an incredible time and a divine appointment. The friend of a friend that had the desire to give back was adopted himself as a child. When we first saw him last Saturday, Silas went straight toward him with arms outstretched and then laid his head on his shoulder patting his back. It lasted a long time - it was as if Silas knew that this man had given him much. It was one of the most profound moments in our family. We pray that we can somehow pay this forward and continue the blessing in Titus' name. The Titus Task - the non profit fund/organization we have set up to benefit orphans is planning a 5k race and 1 mile family fun run. We have a logo in the works and we are excited to see how God will use this/us.
Some other bullet points:
Lily and Silas continue to love swimming - a favorite past time.
Silas is learning English like crazy - he is asking questions and loves to make comments that surprise me. He frequently asks, "having fun Mom?"
He is a big boy! Completely potty trained - I have no need of a diaper bag or anything like that. It is great!!
Silas thinks he can read:) Tonight he read me a book about trains - one of his favorite things. It was a lot of mumbo jumbo then a lot of choo choo chugga chugga. TOO CUTE!
Lily is loving spending one morning a week - "working" with Dad.
I am posting a picture of what happens when one sweet 6 year old girl helps her mom make chocolate chip cookies. I gave Lily and Silas 2 cookies and milk then went to check my email. When I came back, Lily was serving herself and Silas more. She said..."Mom, Silas is eating his 4th cookie and I am on my 5th." Seemed perfectly fine to her:)
We should have ripe tomatoes in the garden in a couple weeks!
No word on Louis' paperwork:( I did make a friend who will do some translating for us when he gets home! We will probably do that by skype once a week or so at first.
Praying things start moving soon.
Love to all for all of us.
