I know most of you have heard and lots have already been in touch with us for updates – seems the facebook world has taken over the email world for updates such as these.
The last 24 hours has brought severe devastation in Haiti and much heartache to our home. We continue to cry out to God for His Presence and trust Him no matter what.
We still have had no word about the status of the Foyer de Sion orphanage and the children that reside there. Foyer has 3 locations – 1 in Carrefour (where Silas used to live), 1 in Petionville (where Louis lives currently), and 1 in Leogane. The Mardy family (Haitian people) run the Orphanages and other mission type projects. We are in contact with a stateside branch of their organization, but they have had NO WORD from anyone on the Haitian side. There is some speculation that the Carrefour building is standing with children OK, and some speculation that the Petionville children were evacuated from the building – but none of the information is confirmed by any of the staff or anyone affiliated with the Orphanage.
We are emotionally drained – though blessed by all the love and support that has been expressed to us. We are so thankful for your prayers for Louis and us – need them more than ever.
We are working hard to find someone that may be able to find out the status of the children from Louis’ orphanage site, but so far no leads have brought information.
I have spoken to both CNN and CBS which have offered to try to help. An old friend made contact with several news stations on our behalf. We have a CNN interview in the morning – that is supposed to air on national television on Friday. We pray we can shed some light on the tragic story of the children of Haiti and certainly open eyes to the story of those that already have homes in the US.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer again.
Please pray for Louis to be found safe and to be able to come home.
I will update again as information is known.
ALL our LOVE,
Lori

We praise God that Silas is home and thriving. We praise Him that the same God that is with us – is also with Louis right this minute. He never sleeps, never tires, nothing is too big for Him. He is here and He is there.

Praying for you and your family.
I am praying for you and your family. I pray that Louis is safe along with the other children in his orphanage. I love the ending comment on your post - God is with you and He is also with Louis right now.
Hi Lori~
I've followed your blog for quite some time, though I haven't checked in for a while. You popped into my mind today. I'm a fellow adoptive mommy, waiting to pick up our babies.
Our prayers are with you...
Angie
